„When we talk about defending democracy, we are not only talking about defending Ukraine, but also about defending the fundamental principles that underpin democratic societies—chief among them, freedom of the press. Without a free and independent press, democracy cannot function“, said Mika Beuster, President of the German Journalists’ Association at the Westminster Alliance for Ukraine Event.

„I would like to add another dimension to this debate: European lawmaking. We are not only facing a war in Ukraine, which demands military support, but also a hybrid war—one that includes information warfare“, said Beuster.
