CIVIL: A total of 18 cases of family voting in Debreshte
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The seven polling stations in the country where there is a revote for the 2024 parliamentary elections opened on time, and the voting is taking place almost without problems, note our mobile observers who are on the ground.

Re-voting is taking place in the Fifth electoral unit at polling stations 1194 and 1202 in Krushevo, 1272 in Ohrid, 1470 and 1470/1 in Dolneni and 1844 in Struga, while in the Sixth electoral unit at polling station 2101 in Zhelino

Voter turnout at the seven polling stations where there is revoting for the parliamentary elections is 34.87 percent until 3.00 pm.

Out of a total of 4,514 registered voters, 1,574 voted. Compared to the voting on May 8, this revote shows an increased turnout by 1.21 percent at these polling stations.

The highest turnout is at the polling station in Zhelino where 428 voters voted, or 43.10 percent, and the lowest turnout is in Krushevo at polling station 1202, where 67 voters voted, or 22.48 percent voted until 3.00 pm

At polling station 1470 in the primary school of the village of Debreshte, Municipality of Dolneni, during the shift handover of the Election Board, more persons appeared signed in the Voters register, and there were fewer ballots in the stack, the situation was 121 with 118 (a difference of 3 more signed than issued ballots).

At this polling station, 5 illiterate persons voted, who instead of a signature put a fingerprint. The Election Board later commented that there were not 3 more persons signed, but that the fingerprint of the illiterate persons had beencopied below, so they counted it as a signature. The voting took place normally.

Later a member of the Election Board (of a political party) appeared from polling station 1470/1 to ask what happened, however they told him to go back to his polling station.

At the same polling station 1470, our observer registered 18 cases of family voting, namely, two people enter behind the screen (an older and younger person), the younger one circles the ballot, drops it in the box and returns again behind the screen, circles the ballot of the older person and again the same person drops the ballot in the box. There is no reaction from the Election Board.
