Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski in a message on the National Uprising Day, October 11 said “like the Macedonian freedom fighters, let’s remain steadfast and united along the European path forward and create a future for the next generations,” transmits News Agency MIA.
According to him, thanks to the success in National Liberation War, today’s, modern and independent, democratic, Euro-Atlantic Republic of North Macedonia exists. That is why, as he says, October 11, 1941, when the Macedonian national liberation anti-fascist uprising began, was, is and will always be on the bright sides of Macedonian history.
“Macedonian fighters, with their unyieldingness since 1903 and their success in the National Liberation War in 1944, paved the way to freedom and statehood, but also to Macedonian progress. Just like the partisans, let’s stay steadfast and united on the way forward. It is our sacred duty today to create a future for the next generations,” Prime Minister Kovachevski stressed.
