It’s impossible to talk about peace in the world today outside the threat of the Russian Rashism and the military aggression against Ukraine, the return of the Iron Curtain and the entire threat to the survival of human civilization overall. The dictator in the Kremlin, who set forth on a three-day “special military operation” to conquer Kyiv and Ukraine, is threatening world order and democracy at every corner of this planet.
The brutal Russian aggression in 2022 is just a continuation of the Rashist regime and military interventions for 15 years already, since the first majormilitary aggression against Georgia in 2008.
As matter of fact, the war brought war criminal Putin to power. The fierce bombardment in Chechnya and the siege of the capital Grozny (1999-2000), at the beginning of the Second ChechenWar, were coordinated by the Russian infamousFSB (previously the KGB), with the purpose to ease Putin’s path to the presidential position.
If one looks at the world map of military and other conflicts, they will notice that for over a decade, apart from Europe (the invasion against Ukraine began in 2014 ), Putin’s clique, along with the bloodthirsty mercenary armies, has been waging different forms of war also in different regions of Africa and Asia. His regime also waged a war against democracy in the Russian Federation and – won.
Now the criminal from the Kremlin is waging his last war – against Ukraine and against the democratic world.
Therefore, to talk about peace today, above all, means to talk about liberation from the regime of this criminal and his trial for war crimes and genocide. Peace in the world will have a chance only when the last soldier and mercenary will also leave Ukraine. But it must not remain only on the complete liberation of the territory of sovereign Ukraine, but also justice. All criminals, with Putin at the head, must be held responsible for their atrocities throughout Ukraine. Otherwise, the sacrifices that Ukraine is making in the name of its freedom and world peace will be in vain.
What is the biggest world organization doing on this day? On the occasion of International Day of Peace, September 21, the United Nations this year has chosen the topic “Actions for Peace: Our Ambitions for the #GlobalGoals”.
This title sounds extremely cynical, as it neglects reality in one of the crucial moments in the war against the brutal regimeheadquartered in the Kremlin. Ukraine, with the help of its Western allies finally got a chance to oppose. Without final and decisive support, which the UN is obliged to provide, victory to final liberation of this great and proud European country will be questioned, and thus democracy, peace, stability and progress in the whole world will be permanently threatened, if not destroyed.
The United Nations, like so many times until now, fail to see that, by ignoring the reality, peace becomes only more uncertain and fragile. That ignoring in the past has led to world wars. And nowadays, calculations and compromises with militant dictators lead to war, and not peace. Regimes like Putin’s, expect precisely that – indecisiveness ad leniency of the international community – in order to continue with their destruction.
It’s more than obvious that the Russian aggression is also aimed at democracy in the world, in general. Putin’s policy has been destabilizing the world for more than a decade through hybrid attacks, blackmail with energy and food, with fierce propaganda campaigns and disinformation with which permanent damage is inflicted upon the democratic order in the world.
With the gross and bloody threat against the world, the Kremlin is trying to avoid responsibility for the immense violence and obvious intention to exterminate the Ukrainian nation, for which propagandists openly and loudly talk about in Russian state media.
“The military aggression against Ukraine, like all military and other conflicts anywhere in the world, imposes the need of uniting against the evil. Every person has an obligation to stand in defense of the right to peaceful and dignified living in democratic and just societies where division, hatred, violence, fight for rule and power at the expense of human life and dignity will be rejected and strongly condemned. The perpetrators of crimes against humanity and the architects of evil, destruction and genocide must be brought to justice. It is a human and civilizational obligation” – is written in the press release of CIVIL, a Macedonia civil society organization, giving an example in the world in which direction the thinking, understandingand action should go in favor of world peace.
With washed out announcements and calls for compromise, criminals are only encouraged to continue their evil mission.
I believe in the value of each individual. That is why I am writing these lines and citing the press release of the organization I belong to.
A question for every person on this planet is whether they will remain silent, blind or deaf (and dumb) in the face of the danger of this being the last war before destruction of the world. Or will they do something to stop the raging train of dictatorship and military aggressions.
