Bomb alerts were sent this morning to the “Aleksandar Palace” hotel, the International Airport – Skopje and “East Gate Mall”.

Guests and employees are being evacuated from “Aleksandar Palace”. Today’s annual conference of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, at which Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski was supposed to addres, has also been cancelled. Among the participants of the conference in “Aleksandar Palace” were the Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi and Minister of Finance Fatmir Besimi.

This is the first case of a bomb being reported at an event where politicians are expected to attend.

Passengers and employees of the Skopje Airport are also being evacuated. All flights have been canceled and the police have been called to investigate.

It is temporarily closed and an investigation is also being carried out at the East Gate Mall.
