“Honestly, I don’t see that much of a danger fromthe politicization of the (“independent”) institutions of Kosovo (as it is a phenomenon that has followed almost all post-socialist countries!), as much as from the partisanship and (especially!) their clanization! We say so, because the “tradition” of clanization and partisanship, as a direction and as an old socio-political experience, has proven an interesting sociological fact. The one about the delay of the reconstruction of new democratic institutions, during the time of the process of building the state. BOTA SOT: The citizens welcome the increased presence of the police in the northern part of Mitrovica

“The citizens of ‘Bosnjacka naselba”, “Tri oblakoderi”, “Kodra e minatorit” and “Kroi I Vitakut” in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica welcomed the increased presence of the Kosovo police in the north of the country.

Members of the Kosovo police, last night around 8 pm, were positioned in different locations in the north of Mitrovica. They are mainly located in residential neighborhoods with mixed population, where there are Albanians.

At locations where the Kosovo police are stationed, members of KFOR have been notices circling around with their vehicles, but also of EULEX”, reported BOTA SOT.
