Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that the Balkan Open initiative is an unstoppable initiative of the Balkan people, reports rs.n1info.com.
Vucic told the Open Balkan summit in Ohrid he was certain that the initiative will be backed by as many citizens of North Macedonia, Serbia and Albania, which are its members, but also by the other countries in the region.
“This is our initiative, an initiative of the people from the Balkans, those who understand that they need to connect and solve problems on their own”, said the Serbian President, adding that the three initiative members have no outstanding bilateral issues.
Vucic thanked European Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi for attending the meeting as a show of support for the initiative which he said is “something unstoppable, a good idea that will win an increasing number of supporters”.
In addition to the representatives of the initiative members, also present at the summit are Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic and Bosnia-Herzegovina Council of Ministers chairman Zoran Tegeltija.
