The President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev expressed condolences for the death of the famous Greek statesman and politician Karolos Papoulias, who was President of Greece in the period 2005-2015.
As reported by MIA from Sofia, Radev stressed that Papoulias will be remembered as a great friend of Bulgaria, who laid the foundations of modern Bulgarian-Greek relations in a difficult period of development of both neighboring and friendly countries.
The Bulgarian president also highlighted Papoulias’s great diplomatic skills, which have left a bright mark on the international community.
