The Criminal Council of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption at the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje rejected the request for conditional release of Zoran Milevski Kicheec.
Acting on the proposal of the Director of the Penitentiary Struga – Open Department, for conditional release of Z.M. final convicted in the case of this court with KOK no. “131/19 known to the public as” Raket “, the Criminal Council of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption, after a council session held on 12.11.2021, passed a decision rejecting the proposal.” said the Criminal Court.
From there they add that the Decision during today was sent to the parties in the procedure who have the right to appeal within 8 days, through the first instance to the Court of Appeals Skopje.
Instead of serving a three-year prison sentence in the Reket case, he applied for permission to work, saying he could support his mother and five children because he divorced his wife. However, the court rejected his request and decided that Kicheec should remain in prison.
According to the Directorate for Execution of Sanctions, Kicheec should leave the Struga prison on February 7, 2023.
Except for the “Reket” case where he was sentenced to 3 years in prison, Milevski was sentenced to 6 months in prison for a serious car accident. In the accident that happened on September 4 at the Strazha crossing, 34-year-old Evzalj Selimi from Gostivar’s Dolna Banjica, father of two minor children, died and 7 people were injured.
