The election campaign is getting increasingly more heated, so in addition to verbal duals, physical confrontations have also begun. Last weekend, several incidents were registered between political opponents, in particular, fights and physical attacks. However, in addition to the physical attacks, there were also threats against politically not like-minded, such as the case where Mickoski’s security threatened a citizen of Vevcani that “he will see when they come to power”.
Boxing fight of future council members in the Municipality of Kumanovo from SDSM and “For our Kumanovo”
A physical attack was reported to the police by two future members of the Council of the Municipality of Kumanovo, Redzep Redzepovski from the independent list “For our Kumanovo” and Samet Salievski from SDSM.
The incident took place the day before yesterday (23.10.2021) around 2.00 pm in the Kumanovo residential area Sredorek, where a greater number of the residents are from the Roma ethnic community. The fight was first reported by Redzepovski, and then a report came from Salievski. The Sector of Interior of Kumanovo states that they are working on clearing up the case.
Mickoski’s security with threats against a citizen – “you will see when we come to power”
The security of the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, threatened a citizen from Vevcani, they identified him and took a picture of his ID card during the rally under the slogan “Create a new future”, which the party held yesterday (October 24). The case has been reported to the police.
“While vmro people from Vevcani shouted out “UA” to Zoran Zaev and no one opposed them physically, today, Tance Shekutkoski was attacked by Mickoski’s security, because he is not his like-minded and yelled out GET LOST at the rally of DPMNE. The security took his ID card and photographed it, and then threatened him. And all this not even having come to power. The regime is knocking on the door, but it will never return! The time of threats and blackmail is long gone!”, is said in the reaction of Voislav Popeski from SDMM Vevcani.
The respective Hristijan Mickoski tonight (24.10.2021) came to Vevcani in order to carry out pressure and threats against those not like-minded through his security! In the center of Vevcani we witnessed the kinds of methods the regime ruled with for 11 years and that they have not changed a bit. DPMNE’s matrix has not changed. On the contrary, the desire for power and personal advantage has grown even more”, is said by SDSM Vevcani.
Members of SDSM Vasilevo physically attacked by VMRO-DPMNE candidate for mayor
Activists and members of SDSM Vasilevo accuse that on Sunday (24.10.2021), VMRO-DPMNE candidate for mayor Slave Andonov and his fellow party members tried to obstruct them, and then physically attacked them while they were campaigning door to door.
“VMRO-DPMNE and the candidate for mayor of the Municipality of Vasilevo, Slave Andonov, not only continue with the dirty election campaign, but also use physical attacks. Our activists, in carrying our pre-election activities in Vasilevo for presenting our program, were physically attacked by candidate Slave Andonov and their activist Aleksandar Vasilev.
The physical attack against four party members of ours was immediately reported to the Sector of Interior Strumica, who have already given statements to the police on the brutal behaviour of VMRO-DPMNE candidate for mayor of Vasilevo, Slave Andonov. We demand from the competent institutions to immediately clear up the case and for the perpetrators of this act to be brought to justice, regardless of the fact that they are participants in the election race”, reads the statement of OO SDSM Vasilevo.
Jakimovski accuses that with a vehicle of the intervention police, money is handed out from drug dealers from Saraj for vote-buying
“A larger amount of money from drug dealers in Saraj today have been taken for vote-buying in Karpos, and that money has been transferred with vehicles of the intervention police. This is sure information we have, it would be good for the prosecutor in charge of this to contact us so that we can give him additional information. Karpos people are not poor, poor are only those who are poor in spirit”, said the candidate for mayor of the Municipality of Karpos, Stevco Jakimovski, from GROM at a joint meeting (on 23.10.2021) with independent candidate for the City of Skopje Danela Arsovska, supported by VMRO-DPMNE, with the residents of Zhdanec.
