CIVIL at press conference with information from election monitoring, Ordanoski asks whether the strict, formal, election campaign “constraints” should be abolished

CIVIL will hold a press conference where information and analyses from the monitoring of the election process so far will be discussed. CIVIL’s Press Conference will be held today (Tuesday), September 21, at 12.00 noon, in Macedonian, and at 12.30pm in Albanian, at the Organization’s Press Center that is located on the 3rd floor of the “Paloma Bjanka” Business Center.

Shouldn’t we think about abolishing the strict, formal, election campaign “constraints” that no one respects anyway? Here, campaigns are led 365 days a year, there is no break – as we see, neither for state or religious holidays. Nor does anyone have crucial control over the money spent, nor are the conditions for candidates “fair and balanced”, and we are just bringing the institutions that are supposed to control that in a situation of being compromised, because they have to implement laws and regulations for which everyone is aware are (almost) unenforceable, writes Saso Ordanoski in today’s column “The elections are like the Battle of Waterloo”!”.
