The country is waiting for the first intergovernmental conference, but how ready are we for that first international conference, in terms of teams, in terms of conducting negotiations, because it is one thing to start the first international conference, but negotiations have a much bigger and more difficult task and for the institutions and the non-governmental sector, in general and for everyone, said Lepa Dzundeva, a journalist at TV24 at a panel discussion on CIVIL on the topic: “European values – a real perspective or an unattainable goal?”

The fact is that the media create an image of the citizens, what we will present is accepted and it is seen. Our path, at least the path of North Macedonia and the goal is the European Union and NATO. As the institutions and the non-governmental sector strive for that, the media should also strive more for EU values, in terms of showing what Europe is doing in terms of reforms. We are preoccupied with the dispute with Bulgaria that we can not put aside. That is what is a problem, not only for the institutions but also for the citizens to move forward.

Therefore, when the media focuses on political developments, it does not mean that there is a defocus or that no attention is paid to what should be important. The moment the negotiations officially start, everyone will be focused on the media to see what they are doing and what they have done. then it will be possible to make a direct parallel, how a legislation works, say France or Germany, and how far we are in the Balkans and what Macedonia is doing.

I am trying to draw a parallel in some way, while we are waiting for a conference date, I believe that the focus of all media will be more on that moment after there is something tangible.
