As of today, 249,187 citizens have received at least one Covid-19 vaccine dose in the country and 150,775 citizens have received two, according to the Ministry of Health on Tuesday.
On Monday, 9,142 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 nationwide. Of them, 1,755 received their first vaccine dose.
A total of 399,962 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far, the Ministry of Health press release says.
The mass vaccination program against Covid-19 is based on the National Immunization Plan, prioritizing seniors and frontline workers.
The latest figures show that 48 percent of the population over 70, 42 percent of the population over 65, and 35 percent of the population over 60 have received at least one vaccine dose.
In addition to the country’s largest mass vaccination site at the Skopje Boris Trajkovski Sports Arena, vaccination sites are open in Kavadarci, Kumanovo, Tetovo, Shtip, Bitola, Strumica, Ohrid, Veles, and Prilep.
The Ministry of Health urges citizens to apply for their coronavirus shot appointment at vakcinacija.mk. So far, over 443,374 citizens have applied for vaccination via the website, the release adds.
