As of Friday, COVID centers within the internal clinics and Mother Teresa State Clinical Center will close due to drop of hospital admissions. Coronavirus patients will be admitted only at Institute for Lung Diseases and Tuberculosis and the Infectious Diseases Clinic, the Ministry of Health said.
The Ministry of Health said in a press release that a total of 379 COVID-19 patients are being treated in hospitals in North Macedonia.
A total of 142 confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients are being treated at the infectious disease wards in the hospitals in the capital, and 237 in COVID centers across the rest of the country.
Eight confirmed coronavirus patients have been admitted in the COVID centers in Skopje due to virus complications over the past 24 hours.

Moreover, two patients were admitted at the COVID unit within the Skopje City General Hospital ‘8 September’ and four patients at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases.
In addition, 22 recovered patients were discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours.
A total of 25 patients are currently being treated at COVID units within Skopje’s internal and surgical clinics.
There are 49 patients at the ‘8 September’ hospital and 67 patients at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases.
The number of hospital admissions over the past days is falling and according to the Ministry of Health’s press release, there were 150 hospital beds available in Skopje and 614 nationwide until Friday at 8 am.
More beds are expected to become available during the day as recovered patients are discharged.
All state centers have enough oxygen for patients who need it and hospital capacities, if necessary, can be increased to admit more coronavirus patients, the release adds.
