The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) will continue to support the efforts of the Government of North Macedonia to enhance the quality of its national education system by investing in several segments, with a focus on infrastructure projects, agreed Minister of Education and Science Mila Carovska and TIKA President Serkan Kayalar in Ankara on Tuesday.
“We are pleased that TIKA has provided continued support to the country’s efforts for development of education and your reaffirmation that the support will intensify in the coming period. This is very important for us, coming at a time of implementing reforms within the multiannual plan of the Ministry and the Government,” said Minister Carovska.
Kayalar said North Macedonia is an important country for Turkey and TIKA would continue to support the development of all segments in society, investing in sustainable projects especially in the sectors of education, health and infrastructure. He welcomed the country’s efforts to improve the quality of education, especially through capacity strengthening of the teaching staff as a key link in the education system, the Ministry of Education and Science said in a press release.
TIKA has been active in North Macedonia for the past 15 years, investing in the construction and rehabilitation of about dozen school facilities across the country.
