Starting April 28, the nationwide curfew will be in place from 9 pm until 5 am the next morning, the government decided at its Tuesday session.
Changes to the COVID-19 protective measures were proposed by the Commission for Infectious Diseases on Monday.
No nighttime curfew is to be imposed for the coming religious holidays Easter (May 1-2) and Ramadan (May 12-13), the government said in a press release.
Also starting April 28, restaurants, bars and coffee shops will be allowed to work until 8:30 pm, provided they have outdoor seating.
The ban on organizing weddings, birthdays, christenings and other parties remains in force.
New measures don’t apply to hospitality facilities in hotels, hostels, etc., and those at the Skopje and Ohrid airports.
In line with Commission recommendations, gyms, fitness clubs, sports centers remain closed and can only perform activities outdoors, abiding by appropriate protocols.
New measures will be in force until May 15.
