Health Minister Venko Filipche said Wednesday that the restrictions in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus have been producing results as the number of hospital admissions is dropping as well as the number of new COVID-19 positive cases.
The number of COVID-10 patients discharged from hospitals is rising, according to him.
“Even though statistics shows that the numbers are dropping, we have to remain extremely cautious because the virus is unpredictable,” Filipche said in a Facebook post.
His post comes after his regular morning coordination meeting with hospital directors to discuss the treatment of patients, the capacities of Covid units and rotations of medical staff.
