In the past few days, the number of coronavirus-related hospitalizations has dropped. Nonetheless, additional capacitates have been set up at hospitals in the capital and across the country, Health Minister Venko Filipche posted Friday on Facebook after meeting with heads of Skopje-based COVID units.
Managing the third coronavirus wave, he added, which is very strong, has been exceptionally hard, not just for us, but for the rest of Europe as well.
“According to epidemiological analysis, the R0 virus transmission factor is below 1, and will hopefully stay there. We remain vigilant, the virus is dangerous and unpredictable,” read Filipche’s post.
