The Government decided Tuesday to ban the movement of population and public transport vehicles nationwide, between 10 pm and 5 am on the next day, starting from 10 March 2021 (Wednesday) up to 22 March 2021 (Monday). The curfew is not valid for passengers arriving or departing from international airports. The same goes for passengers in international transport, says Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski.
Transiting transporters will be obliged to leave the country within three hours from entering a border crossing, Minister Spasovski says in a Facebook post.
The Ministry of Information Society and Administration is also tasked with notifying citizens and economic operators that the validity of the already issued permits during the previous movement restrictions is renewed.
Citizens in need of medical care and free movement are also exempted from the ban, provided they call the police before.
The Government decision encompasses all domestic and foreign nationals, while passengers from the African continent entering the Republic of North Macedonia must be taken into 14-day quarantine.
