Over the past 24 hours, 19 new people were admitted to Skopje’s covid centers for coronavirus-related complications, the Ministry of Health said Wednesday. Twenty-two people were discharged from hospital, which brings the number of coronavirus patients in Skopje’s infectious disease units to 262. Many are on oxygen support.
In the past 24 hours, six people were admitted to the Mother Teresa State Clinical Center clinics; four were admitted to the Covid Center within the September 8th City General Hospital; and ten to the Clinic for Infectious Diseases.
Currently hospitalized at the Mother Teresa State Clinical Center’s Dermatology Clinic are 19 people; another 16 at the Neurology Clinic; 22 at the Institute for Lung Diseases and Tuberculosis; 16 at the Nephrology Clinic; and 12 at the Gastroenterohepatology Clinic.
A total of 81 people infected with the coronavirus are treated at the September 8th hospital; 88 at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases; and eight at the Kozle Institute of Respiratory Diseases in Children.
According to the release, there were 140 hospital beds available until Wednesday at 8 am.
More beds are expected to become available during the day as recovered patients are discharged.
The Ministry of Health adds that all infectious diseases units have enough oxygen for people who need to be on oxygen support.
