NEWS OF THE DAY: On International Human Rights Day, CIVIL with a Conference on human rights, justice and anti-corruption
CIVIL organized the Conference on human rights, justice and anti-corruption “Next Stop: Europe” today, December 10, on the occasion of International Human Rights Day, starting at 12 noon. The Conference was held in a combined manner, with online and physical presence, and with maximum compliance to the health protocols.
The conference was held in two sessions, at 12.00 pm and 1.30 pm. The first session of the conference was titled “Justice and the rule of law” and included the participation of Minister of Justice Bojan Maricic and university professor Aleksandar Spasov
The title of the second session was “Fight against corruption” and included the participation of Deputy Prime Minister in charge of fight against corruption and crime, Ljupco Nikolovski, political analyst and university professor Saso Ordanoski and university professor Jasna Bacovska. Moderator of the Conference was Xhabir Deralla from CIVIL.

CIVIL congratulates December 10, International Human Rights Day, to all citizens of North Macedonia and the world and sends the message: The fight for human rights and freedoms continues!
International Human Rights Day is a call for all citizens to join the uncompromising fight in defence of human rights and freedoms. On this day, CIVIL calls on all the institutions to manifest maximum responsibility and commitment and reminds them that human rights and freedoms are their first and utmost obligation. In the spirit of freedom, solidarity and tolerance, CIVIL calls for respect and protection of human rights and freedoms.
It is the obligation of every society, all institutions at the local and national level, of all decision-makers, business owners and of all people to respect human rights and freedoms. Every person has the same human rights and freedoms like everyone else in the world, just because they are human.
Human rights are inalienable – no one can give them or take them away, because they belong to every person!

The Parliamentary Committee on European Affairs today in the first reading with ten votes for and none against and abstained, supported and forwarded for further parliamentary procedure the Draft Law on Consensus of the Population, Households and Dwellings in the Republic of North Macedonia, which is to allow this statistical operation to be conducted next year.
A total of 4.635 inspections and supervisions have been carried out by the six inspections services in the period between November 30 and December 6 this year. The inspectors of the State Market Inspectorate have conducted a total of 3.129 inspections and 490 extraordinary inspection supervisions, of which the greatest number related to the compliance to the protocols for opening and operation of the hospitality facilities and cafe bars.
