Statement of the day – Zaev: We expect for Kosovo to join the intensified regional cooperation
-Our people say you can’t choose your neighbours, but are the first to come to help. That is exactly why I expect Kosovo to also join the intensified regional cooperation, which is led by North Macedonia, Albania and Serbia, with the purpose for its inclusive character to be a priority for the region, regardless of the open political issues. Next Friday, I will have a meeting with President Vucic and Prime Minister Rama, where one of the items will be precisely that, with the intention to also send a joint invitation. This is certainly in the interest of our citizens, above all, for the implementation of the four freedoms of the European Union in the Western Balkans, free movement of goods, services, people and capital, and which will enable also a faster integration and harmonization with the European Union. Precisely the joint engagement that emerges from the region itself, will represent a strong added value for our European perspectives and for the already existing initiatives that are in that function, the Berlin Process and the Regional Cooperation Council, stated the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, at the joint press conference with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti.
