Employment discrimination is a frequent topic in the media and in the public communication. Insufficient understanding and frequent politicization of the topic related to employment imposes the need of a broader public discussion with arguments from multiple aspects by all stakeholders.
For that reason, CIVIL is organizing a public event, panel discussion on the topic “Discrimination and employment in the public and private sector” later today, September 30, at City Park Hotel, starting at 12.00 noon.
The panel discussion anticipates the participation of Jovana Trencevska, Head of the Department for Gender Equality, Sector for Equal Opportunities at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Professor Mirjana Najcevska, human rights expert, Visar Ademi, economics expert, Lisa Bauta Shaqiri, author and lawyer and Ramush Muarem – Cirko, journalist. At the beginning of the panel discussion, Xhabir Deralla will present CIVIL’s views and initial recommendations on this topic.
Even though the event is of open character, it is recommended that the event be followed online, through CIVIL’s media platform and Facebook page.
After this event, CIVIL will supplement the organization’s recommendations and will incorporate them in a special document that will be submitted to the relevant institutions, as part of the Citizen’s Forum, in which so far many experts and activists have taken part, as well as interested citizens.
The event is part of the project “Europe is our home”, financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
