CIVIL is starting with a new series of regional seminars, and currently registration is taking place for those interested for the first seminar that will be held in Stip. The seminar is titled “Civic Lenses: Citizens participate, observe and report”, and is a continuation of the seminars that CIVIL has organized over the past four years, and in which almost a thousand citizens from throughout North Macedonia have taken participation.
Ahead of the new challenges and projects, CIVIL has the need of expanding its collaboration network with new people, volunteers and freelance workers. One of the best ways for getting to know each other and starting cooperation are the seminars within CIVIL’s project “Civic Lenses: Promoting transparent and responsible political processes”. Many of those who are long-time members of CIVIL’s project teams have started the cooperation precisely with a CIVIL seminar.
The new series of regional seminars are in many ways different from the previous thirty such events. They are more dynamic and process many topics that are relevant to the socio-political situation and processes in the country. In any case, it is a matter of continuation, since CIVIL remains further dedicated to strengthening citizen participation, activism and citizen journalism, which promote transparent and responsible political processes that will be carried out across the country. The seminars are part of the project Civic Lenses: Promoting transparent and responsible political processes, financed by National Endowment for Democracy, which CIVIL is implementing for the fifth year in a row.
The first of a total of 8 seminars will be held in Stip, on September 28 (Saturday), at Hotel Oaza, starting at 10 am. The call for seminar participation will last until September 25 (Wednesday).
All interested citizens from the municipalities of the East Planning Region can apply for the seminar as follows: Berovo, Vinica, Delcevo, Zrnovci, Karbinci, Kocani, Makedonska Kamenica, Pehcevo, Probistip, Cesinovo-Oblesevo and Stip.
