New threats against Zaev, a call for parallel celebration in Krusevo

Ahead of the celebration for Ilinden, calls by so-called patriotic groups for parallel celebration are growing on the social networks. Calls for the “true Macedonians” to come to Meckin Kamen and to boo the “northerners”. Among such calls there is also hate speech and public threats directed against Prime Minister Zaev. A profile under the name Vasil Chulev demands a bullet in Zaev’s forehead.

The MOI today announced that the Sector for Cybercrime and Digital Forensics has submitted criminal charges against V.Z (67) from Skopje, for “endangering the security” through an information system. On 25.07.2019, the above-mentioned person, through his user name posted a comment with threatening contents against the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia. “Only a bullet for you bastard, which I would eagerly pull without betting an eye”, read the message that Zaev read from his mobile phone before the MPs in Parliament.

Census

“I am definitely not accepting postponement of the census for 2021”, said Prime Minister Zoran Zaev for the announced meetings with the opposition this week, where the Law on the census will be discussed, BUT from the opposition VMRO-DPMNE they insist that the census be carried out in 2021. According to MP Ilija Dimovski, the law is imprecise, and they propose changes that he called principle matters. For starters, they do not have trust in the Director of the State Statistical Office, and that is why they are demanding for the operation to be led by a body of academics and professionals, who will be elected in Parliament.

State Statistical Office determines weaknesses in the public procurements, higher education and local self-governments

Deputy Auditor General Naser Ademi, at today’s session of the Committee on Financing and Budget, informed that in 2019 60 institutions have been audited, in which many weaknesses have been registered.

“We are expecting for the audit reports not to remain in the drawers of the state institutions, or the drawers of the parliament, but for them to be reviewed in a separate committee for reviewing the reports, and for the public to be informed where the public funds have been spent”, said Ademi.

Flash news:

The SPO confirms that Janeva had requested “forensic deletion” of data. However, Janeva had not informed what the reasons are for such a request, and in the public the procedure is expected to be stopped, and for Janeva to be held responsible.

The Government of the Republic of North Macedonia is holding its 148th session today, where there will be a debate for the information regarding the need of carrying out a process of verification (vetting) of the employees in the Ministry of Interior.

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev today visited Kumanovo, for the opening of the new Emergency Center, where in response to a journalist question he said that administrative procedures are being taken against Ohrid цоунцил мембер Nefi Huseini in relation to the attack on Профессор Iljaz Iljazi, for whom the association Eco-Guerrilla from Tetovo also sent out strong condemnation.

In their reaction it is said that if the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Interior do not take urgent measures and sanction the perpetrators, regardless of the political support they can have, they will turn to the embassies and international community.
