Capitulation

Capitulation

Midnight capitulation of Mickoski and his team could be an excellent inspiration for Monty Python’s scriptwriters. For instance, a title like “VMRO and the Holy Grail: would be a successful movie achievement in the world of side-splitting comedies on politics, while “The hagiography of Mickoski”, will nevertheless be far shorter, but no less funny than “The hagiography of Black Grujo”.

Xhabir Deralla

The quantity of grotesque and comic situations in which VMRO-DPMNE’s bandit leadership has fallen into, from the moment things started going downward, is exceeding the dimensions of our country by number of inhabitants, area and importance, but those (right?) are not some crucial criteria for the stupidity. Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former, said once the great Einstein.

I watched the footage of Mickoski’s press conference and mostly the male dolls around him twice, once with sound, and once without sound. The speech was pale, already heard and expected, and missing the point. When I watched it without sound, the footage told me much more.

The body language of the speaker and the almost immovable figures around him, the expressions on their faces, glances…A super funny scene of capitulation. Like a small theatric group from a small village that has just never managed to rehearse the second act, while in the first they have to stand with tearful impressions on their faces. You expect a crow from the ceiling to land on the speaker at any moment and to get him dirty, so along with the tears there will also be secrete falling down, or for one of the figures to start dancing ballet, something…But nothing. And at the end there is an applause that they themselves give. For something. But nothing. Some more sarcastic colleagues with a freer vocabulary will certainly mention many expressions that are related with full underwear and similar. And they will be right.

There’s no need to talk about the political implications of this grotesque midnight capitulation, because they were clear from the very start of the “in-depth analyses” of VMRO-DPMNE’s marketing leadership. We know that this bad speech and the standpoint that the citizens of Macedonia should decide according to their own belief has been printed weeks ago, and that #Micko Takis only needs to read it, even though poorly. And wanly.

Part of the comedy is also the “historic permission” that came from the ugly palace of the political sins – for the people to vote freely. The same party that used to drag by the neck and ears, used to send entire families into the dungeon, imprisoned and stole elections, has now given “permission” to vote freely. Expected, but somehow funny. And in combination with the funny suits, tearful faces and stuttering…Hilariously funny.

This, nevertheless, is not a small success for VMRO-DPMNE and for Mickoski. He met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, one of the most powerful and most influential politicians in the world. That is not a small thing. So even if she slapped him two-three hot ones, the ones Grujo used to order, this is a serious item in Mickoski’s comic political portfolio. And, let’s not forget, this is an introduction to a complete resignation of the Family from VMRO-DPMNE, and these days the party has the biggest chance of recuperating from the long years of captivity, of becoming a modern right-wing party, even if an unpleasant one, and a decent opposition party with credibility to criticize and to fight for the voters’ affection. Without violation. But let’s return to the comedy and finish it.

The movie produced by the geniuses gathered around Monty Python could end with a scene from a boring large room with white walls, in which corner covered with cobwebs there is a large flowerpot with a ficus, whose leaves are half-dried and fallen. A voice is heard from far away: “Horhe! Horheee! Pesiddeeeent!”, several times. At the end John Cleese shows up next to the ficus and says: “The President is not sane at the moment”, with a hard Russian accent. Fade out.

I could have come up with something funnier, like for instance, when Gruevski says that all of this only makes him stronger. But in German.
