Reconstruction of the government, be it good or bad
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The name and Macedonia’s entry into EU and NATO still remain current topics in the public. But what will remain in the focus in the following next days is the reconstruction of the Government.

Despite concerns about the new ministers, whose names are already known to the public, the question remains in regards to how much that will affect the situation in the Parliament and whether the parliamentary majority will change drastically by including BESA of Afrim Gashi together with three MP’s.

The citizens’ opinion in terms of the changes in the Government is that they are good, but some of them under good changes imply changing all government officials. As to CIVIL Media’s question what they would change in the Government, one of the citizens replied: “I would immediately change the Government in 24 hours. I don’t like this Government. It is nice to have changes, for us to have another change, however it may turn out”.

“There needs to be a clear distinction in that the start of the negotiations is not the same as EU accession. This needs to be recognized. There are two to three election cycles between the two events, and accession is a tool that is here to assist the reforms. If you are looking for the same level of democratic maturity as the one that is required for joining the EU, then the process makes no sense. We have experience with countries that have started negotiations, and have then found themselves blocked. There is no automatism. Whenever this process is politicized, it does not succeed”, is part of Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov’s statement from Brussels in regards to the questions on the negotiations for the name and the connection with the country’s integration in EU and NATO.

The new hearing in the SPO case “Trajectory” started with listening to the “bombs”. Nikola Gruevski, Mile Janakievski and Ljupco Georgievski, former director of state roads are all accused in the case “Trajectory”, for the construction of the highway sections Miladinovci – Stip and Kicevo – Ohrid.

And do not forget that tomorrow CIVIL is promoting three books with more than 350 columns, on a total of 1,000 pages at City Hall Center (next to the Youth Cultural Center), starting at 20:30h. “In the Waiting Room of Freedom” by Saso Ordanoski, on 440 pages, “Burst” by Xhabir Deralla and “Injustice and Unrest” from 30 authors of CIVIL with about 280 pages, will all eternalize a difficult and uncertain period for Macedonia.
