With a speech by H.E Thomas Gerberich, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, and a presentation of CIVIL on the findings from the monitoring that has been conducted until now on the events and processes in the electoral context, tomorrow, at 11.00 am, a two-hour conference will begin titled “Free Elections for a Free Society” at the Journalists’ Club.
The most relevant experts and representatives of institutions and civil society have been invited to the conference. They will present their findings and recommendations in regards to the election process, especially of the three-day period of an official pre-election campaign. The Conference will try to give an answer to the question: What preceded, what needs to be done and what risks are before us, in the context of the local elections in Republic of Macedonia?
The media, NGO’s, institutions, political parties and all interested citizens are also invited to the Conference. They will have the opportunity to ask questions or make comments that will be no longer than one minute, following the presentations of the speakers at the Conference.
For those who will not succeed to enter the Journalists’ club, CIVIL will enable for the Conference to be followed online.
This activity is part of the project Free Media for a Free Society, supported by the Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
