CIVIL – Center for Freedom is inviting representative of the media, civil society and the citizens to gather and talk about free society. The gathering will be held at the Journalists’ Club on Monday, November 6, starting at 4:00 pm.
Starting from the principle that there is no freedom without free media, CIVIL’s team would like to meet with those who are most important in this area – the people who bring the facts about the events and processes closer to the citizens every day. The contribution of the media in building a free society is often neglected or underestimated, while editorial offices and journalist teams face pressures and various kinds of problems every day.
CIVIL has been trying to give its contribution to the strengthening of freedom of expression and media freedoms for quite a long time, through the development of CIVIL Media’s media platform and through a series of other activities on the ground throughout the entire country. The opinion of those creating the media content is of special importance to civil society organizations. This meeting will be an excellent opportunity to exchange opinion, experience and contacts.
The event is part of the project Free Media for Free Society, financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
