The first round of local elections speaks that in Macedonia there can be free elections, but there also were many shortcomings. This was the conclusion at CIVIL’s press conference, at which the preliminary report of the election monitoring was presented. The press conference could be followed live, like all the others during the election day, on the online channel of CIVIL Macedonia.

“Yesterday several hundred voters again could not exercise their right to vote, because they were either deleted from the Voters Register or moved to another polling station, and in this way discouraging them of their voting right”, stated Xhabir Deralla, President of CIVIL – Center for Freedom.
