The art workshop “Reclaiming Freedom” attracted the attention of Ljuljeta Ademi, activist and fighter for human rights, who supported the campaign “SPEAK!” and the Citizen’s Charter.
“The citizen is the one who can make all the changes in society. We can do many things, starting from ourselves. However, if this is silenced, or not considered as a relevant factor, as is the case many times in society, the strength and achievement of the citizen will not be seen. Therefore, citizens must never keep silent, regardless of what system we shall have, because there is no perfect system…That is why freedom of speech is in the first place…and there is no keeping silent”, stated Ljuljeta Ademi for CIVIL Media, who visited the art workshop #ReClaimingFreedom.
“ReClaiming Freedom” is a multimedia event of CIVIL – Center for Freedom, as part of the campaign “SPEAK!”, whereas the campaign is a result of the vision of Civicus – World Alliance for Citizen Participation, and as part of the Civic Space Initiative.
