Forests across the country are burning, and just as every year, all over the world. The drill is familiar. Volunteers in the background and firefighters in the front lines risking their lives to put out the fires. Here we also have hundreds of soldiers and policemen, who from the very first went to the front.
FIREFIGHTERS ARE CELEBRATED AS HEROES IN THE WORLD
In the world, the public declares the firefighters as heroes. Filmmakers make documentary films and movies about them.
Governments and institutions, through crisis headquarters, remediate the consequences of the fires and take measures for education and prevention. The public is never fully satisfied, no matter how successful the institutions are, but positive assessments and support for the good steps never lack.
Macedonian forests were also on fire. Unfortunately, the monuments and Styrofoam facades are not trained to engage in a fight against the fire. But what we certainly do have are dedicated firefighters, some retro vehicles and equipment, but also sincere friends from the region and Europe. They all rushed to the fire front and, luckily, without casualties are successfully overcoming the raging fires.
POISENED PUBLIC
The Macedonian poisoned FB-oriented public is mocking the firefighters and their equipment, spitting on the government, municipalities and institutions, while Micko-hydro-tavern-gym and his smaller left-right cousins and little sisters from the Macedonian political basement are doing everything to win a pre-election political point on the backs of those who are fighting the fires.
He will not make PR, he says, out of the fires, yet he is the first to run and be photographed in front of the cameras, carrying packages with water. He saw that when he appeared with one bottle of half a litre knocked him in the head, so he climbed the truck to distribute packages. And there, another illustration of how the political powers in our country are divided.
POLITICAL PYROMANIACS
On the one hand are the courageous firefighters, volunteers and people from the institutions. They are accompanied by the army and police. They use our domestic mechanization and equipment, outdated, but functional. Those 30-40-year-old FAP trucks even aroused pride and nostalgia among some.
And an entire army of firefighters came to our help with their modern mechanization from Austria, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria and other neighbours of ours and friendly countries. Did it come to anyone’s mind to ask themselves whether our country would have received such regional and international assistance if it had remained as such, captured, closed and isolated as it was until four years ago?
On the other hand, are the political pyromaniacs, as part of the public calls them. They opposed the huge machinery set up by the state, together with the huge assistance from abroad, with the fire of hatred, lies and some little trucks with packages of water for taking pictures.
WITH DISINFORMATION TO POLITICAL GAIN
We saw how the mountains went on fire, and we saw how the fire was put off. With an energetic action, with the sacrifice of our greatest heroes, the firefighters, both ours and foreigners, with our soldiers and policemen, with volunteers – it is certain that we will conquer the fire. Those fires will stop, the trees will grow, the damage will be compensated.
We also saw how political fires are set on fire. Some of the politicians, the ones we constantly see remaining along the rails, used this misfortune as well, and rushed to gain a pre-election point in the public.
And instead of doing something truly useful in these difficult moments, the thieves from the political basement are making up and spreading disinformation. In just one day, they came out with at least two pieces of disinformation, one with old pictures from Pakistan, as if it were in Pehcevo, and the even uglier campaign about a stolen chainsaw and water pump from the Austrian firefighters. And that, of course, is attributed to the government. Which means that not a single person of theirs is on the ground, on the front with fire.
A reasonable person would say, when they are already so lazy and incapable, then they should have at least kept silent, not to hinder. But who to tell this to? That kind of fire, simply, cannot be put out with water.
