Green energy in the country’s focus with the government Intervention Investment Plan
The 2021 – 2027 Intervention Investment Plan of the government puts energy, in particular, sustainable energy in the forefront. With the anticipated photovoltaic and wind power plants and the closing of coal power plants, North Macedonia will continue to be a leader in using renewable energy sources and one of the first countries in Europe in closing coal power plants.
“Just last year we increased production of energy from renewable sources to 827 MW, which is an increase of 10,1% and within the world average an increase of 10,3%. In this period, we will maximally invest in renewable energy sources, and according to the 2021-2027 IPI plan, we are making efforts to succeed even before the EU member states in closing coal power plants”, said Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.

New evidence on the role of VMRO-DPMNE in the case “Organizers of April 27”
“I personally think that this evidence that is being presented now indisputably proves the role of the political party VMRO-DPMNE in the organizing of the protests, as well as of the defendants who are in the courtroom, and that being Mile Janakievski and Spiro Ristovski”, stated Prosecutor Vilma Ruskovska on the occasion of the newest evidence presented at the hearing in the case “Organizers of April 27”, extracted from the cases of the SPO.
The prosecutor considers that the newest evidence contradicts the defence that claims that the defendants had not been part of the organization of the protests.
