The number of active cases is increasing daily. According to the data published by the Institute of Public Health, the number in the country reached 18.498 of which more than half – 9714 are in Skopje. The number of reinfections is also growing.
Out of 6.353 tests performed, 2.051 new cases of Covid-19 were registered, of which 276 are reinfections, seven deaths and 747 recovered patients.
Director of the Institute of Immunology, Dr. Aleksandar Petlickovski said that we are at the peak of the omicron strain, given that in both neighboring and Western European countries, this latest wave of corona infection has spread very rapidly and has subsided much faster.
The total number of Covid-diagnosed persons in the country since the beginning of the epidemic is 249.704, the number of cured patients is 223.053, and the number of deaths is 8.153.
Due to the situation with Covid-19, Germany returned North Macedonia on the list of risky countries, and there are new covid protocols for entry into Finland and Hong Kong.
