Ukraine’s General Staff: Russian military death toll in Ukraine reaches 42,340

Since the full-scale invasion on February 24, the Russian army has lost 42,340 servicemen in Ukraine. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the update via Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“The total combat losses of the Russians from Feb 24 to Aug 8 amounted to nearly 42,340 servicemen, including 140 in the past day,” the statement reads.

As for destroyed military equipment, the numbers are as follows: 1,811 (+6) tanks, 4,070 (+15) armored combat vehicles, 960 (+2) artillery systems, 261 (+1) multiple rocket launchers, 132 (+0) anti-aircraft weapons, 223 (+0) warplanes, 192 (+1) helicopters, 754 (+4) operational and tactical-level UAVs, 182 (+0) cruise missiles, 15 (+0) warships / cutters, 2,993 (+15) trucks and tankers, and 86 (+0) units of specialized equipment.

In the past day, August 7, the Russians suffered the greatest losses in the Donetsk direction.
