Although Monday is a non-working day in North Macedonia due to the holiday, citizens can travel freely to neighboring countries, without presentation of PCR test results. This applies for Western Balkan countries, except Greece and maybe Bulgaria. However, I call on citizens to only travel in cases of emergency, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev told reporters on Sunday.
Countries in the region have similar number of new cases, which means there’s no reason to impede mobility, economy and people’s lives.
“However, I advise people to travel only when absolutely necessary, in order to protect personal and public health,” the PM said.
