Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Thursday the government decided to deliver 27,000 tonnes of wheat and flour, as well as significant quantities of corn to Albania, with deliveries to North Macedonia to follow, MIA reports from Belgrade.
“These quantities are delivered within the Open Balkan initiative. We have also received requests from North Macedonia and we will deliver everything according to the agreement. Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro will come next,” President Vucic told Pink TV.
According to him, Serbia has sufficient quantities of wheat, sunflower seed and oil, with numerous countries requesting larger amounts of wheat and corn. “Everyone is asking for larger quantities of wheat and corn, although the size of their populations has decreased due to emigration. They also request sunflower seed and oil,” noted Vucic.
