The events that have marked today primarily concern justice and the judiciary, which is one of the reform priorities of Macedonia on its path to the the European Union and NATO, but also the hopes for progress and prosperity of the country.
“Tomorrow we are waiting for an official announcement to be made from the NATO headquarters in Brussels that Macedonia will be presented with an official invitation at the next Summit of the Alliance in Brussels on July 11-12”, stated today the National Coordinator for NATO, Stevo Pendarovski at the 98th POC-POT Seminar that is held in the Macedonian Parliament.
As a result of the successful campaign and support of active citizens’ participation, Civil was invited to a 3-day Civic Charter Community Meeting of NGOs’ and activists from all around the world, which takes place in Arusha, Tanzania from 26th to 29th of June. In other news, the Constitutional Court annulled the referendum in Dojran. The decision for annulling last year’s referendum, at which the people of Dojran voted against the opening of the Kazandol mine on the territory of the municipality, is published in No.117 of the Official Gazette of Republic of Macedonia from June 26. The citizens of Dojran voted against the opening of the Kazandol mine, but also of other mines on the territory of the municipality

“Pucko Petrol” received a tender of 944 million denars, or over 15,349,593 euros, with which he will be supplying the Skopje Public Transportation Enterprise with petrol in the next two years.
The Judicial Council presided by Judge Dzeneta Bektovic, at today’s hearing for the case “Vault” passed a decision for the accused Goran Grujevski to be tried in absentia, having in consideration that the Supreme Court in Athens passed a decision against his extradition, with which his detention is terminated and he is released. In this context, the Court is also taking into consideration the information from the Sector of Internal Affairs Skopje that Grujevski is not available to the prosecution authorities.
