President Stevo Pendarovski met Monday with the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) president Marko Bislimoski and discussed the stability of the Macedonian power system, the challenges ahead of us and the decree adopted by the government on declaring a state of energy crisis.
Bislimoski briefed Pendarovski about the activities undertaken and the future steps, the capacities of domestic production, as well as the rights and obligations of the license holders for performing energy activities, President’s Office said in a press release.
“It is necessary to take all measures in order to successfully cope with the challenges caused by the global energy crisis, power sector rehabilitation and market needs, as well as cooperation between state institutions and companies in the energy sector,” President Pendarovski said.
According to President Pendarovski, the decision to declare a state of energy crisis is necessary aimed at implement the measures more effectively and tackling the challenges of the energy crisis.
