Prime Minister Zoran Zaev appealed on Thursday for adherence to measures during the coming holidays, urging for caution, distancing, avoidance of indoor space or groups.
PM Zaev said he expected the same call to come from religious leaders, as agreed at meetings, so that holidays are celebrated while protecting the people’s health.
Zaev will spend the holidays with his family in Strumica and take part in the blood drive in the town.
“I believe that people are aware of the situation. We have lost people close to us, family members, friends. We have all realized the seriousness of this crisis,” added the PM.
