“If it were not for the crisis, there would not be a few things to accelerate or happen and for us to accelerate in terms of increasing adoption. There are big changes in the way we work, especially in the IT sphere, where a new kind of digital dimension is emerging or an economy in which applications are the ones driving that economy. We got used to this pandemic year to have an application for everything so that we can have less contact with each other, but also to make life easier,” said Vanco Ordanoski, President of the ICT Chamber at the CIVIL Conference “Perspectives 2021”.
Ordanoski added that the digital economy, in which applications have significantly accelerated the economy, and that Macedonia is lucky that those applications are used in the same way and at the same speed here.
“We are fortunate to have an excellent internet infrastructure and these digital applications that are enabled by that digital infrastructure, so the economy, as much as it is repressed by the pandemic, could have progressed in terms of digitalization.” Working from home is not just a product of the digitalized economy, we have a growing share and will have in the future – the Internet of Things. These are small devices that are on the edge of the digital ecosystem, and that do some small things that we have never had the opportunity to do in a cheap and affordable way. There are many new things in the world movements, next year we will see computers that are 1000 thousand times faster than the previous ones, which will contribute to the development of artificial intelligence “, added Ordanoski.
