A total of 46,023 citizens have registered to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by using the online application, while 13,511 people have applied through their family practitioners, the Ministry of Health tells MIA.
Every citizen can sign up for vaccination on the website, which was launched on Wednesday. The system is designed to generate priority groups.
Family practitioners can also register people willing to receive the shot via the e-appointment system “MojTermin”.
According to the vaccination plan, health workers and people over 70 will be the first ones who can get the COVID-19 vaccine.
The first batch of 4,680 out of 8,000 Pfizer vaccines, a donation from Serbia, arrived on Sunday. Another 200,000 vaccines produced by the Chinese company Sinopharm should arrive by mid-February.
North Macedonia should also get additional doses of the vaccine through direct negotiations with Pfizer, as well as batches via EU’s COVAX Facility.
