New ones were registered in the country yesterday 1.865 cases of covid-19. From them, 207 are reinfections. The number of active cases is 14.545.

Of the newly diagnosed, in Skopje are 871, and then follow Bitola with 177 and Prilep with 119. In other cities, the number of new cases is double-digit or single-digit. According to the data from yesterday’s bulletin, 784 patients were healed, and eight people died, the youngest of whom was 45 years old.

So far, a total of 1.686.063 tests of Covid-19 have been performed in our country, and the total number infected since the beginning of the epidemic is 239.920.

Commission for Infectious Diseases so far there are no proposals for new measures, nor for shortening the isolation time of positive from SARS-CoV-2 tested which are asymptomatic cases. For this proposal, the members will make a decision after an additional extensive discussion that will follow in the coming days.

The eventual is also being considered possibility to change at the beginning of the second semester from the school year, but the decision on this proposal will be made immediately before the beginning of the second semester, because it will be crucial what is the epidemiological situation in the country.

The number of newly infected with covid-19 is growing in the countries of the region. Thus, in yesterday’s covid-bulletin in Srbiјa of the 33.163 people tested positive for coronavirus were 13.753. This is the largest number of newly infected people in Serbia on a daily basis since the beginning of the pandemic.

Albanian National Committee of Experts to deal with the pandemic at yesterday’s session assessed that the situation with the pandemic reaches a climax, with an average of over 1.700 new cases per day and decided to continue the importance of previous anti-cod measures. It was decided not to introduce new additional measures, but to leave it to the citizens to strictly respect the already existing anti-drug measures, which, as they say, are not sufficiently respected.

In GreeceOn the other hand, unvaccinated persons over the age of 60 have a few more days to receive the first dose to avoid the penalty of 100 euros per month, given that the decision for mandatory vaccination for the specific age group enters into force on January 16.

And in Europe the number of newly infected is growing. In France Nearly 370.000 newly infected with the coronavirus have been registered at a time when the government is trying to pass a vaccination pass in the next few days to encourage the French to get the first vaccine as much as possible and to slow down circulation as much as possible. of the epidemic.

The Belgian Federal Parliament announced that it was preparing to start a serious debate on the introduction of mandatory vaccination against covid-19, in the context of the “explosion” of new cases due to the omicron variant. MPs from the Health Committee in the coming days will hear a number of experts and relevant stakeholders, including representatives of the civil society. The exact date of the start of this debate is not known, but it is expected next week.
