Zaev optimistic that we will receive a date for negotiations

Optimism remains in the government. Prime Minister Zoran Zaev is convinced that at the ministerial meeting in Luxemburg, which starts tomorrow and will last until the 18th, the EU member states will set a date for the start of negotiations with Macedonia.

Despite the negative position of France that our country should not receive a date because of the unfulfilled reforms, the Prime Minister considers that Macron will, nevertheless, give a green light tomorrow.

Janeva returns to custody

Former Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva, after being four days in the Zan Mitrev Hospital, today has returned to custody in the Shutka prison.

Her lawyer, Irena Frckovska, yesterday stated for 24 News that Janeva today will leave the hospital and that Janeva’s health is significantly better.

Katica Janeva was taken to the hospital last Thursday with high blood pressure.

Convict from “Idrizovo” prison escapes while guards buy sandwiches

A convict from the prison in Idrizovo has escaped from two prison guards, who had been transporting him from the Clinical Center to the prison. The escape took place during the transportation when the guards had stopped near a gas station in the neighbourhood of Avtokomanda to buy sandwiches.

“The convict took advantage of the carelessness of the guards who changed the route of their movement, that is, instead of heading to the “Idrizovo” prison, they stopped on their way to buy sandwiches, says Director Bobi Mojsovski, who said that the guards will be suspended.

Prisoner Iseni was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison, for several crimes, namely, for violence, smuggling of migrants.

FLASH NEWS

Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov, will be on a working visit to Brussels from today to October 17, when the Council of the EU is expected to make a decision for a date for the start of the accession negotiations of our country with the EU.

On the occasion of International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, Minister of Labour and Social Policy Mila Carovska, stated that more than 22.000 children use child allowances. The social reform establishes a fair distribution of the funds, which are targeted at those who really need them. For the first time, the system is open for persons with low incomes. Hence, instead of 3.200 children, now 73.500 children are entitled to child allowance. The number of children who will be receiving education allowance is anticipated to rise from 3.800 to 64.316 children. In total, the allowances for families with children who live in poverty are increasing by more than 100%.

With a joint open letter titled “Let’s move forward the Western Balkans”, the Czech, Polish, Slovak and Hungarian foreign ministers urge the EU to make a bold decision for the start of negotiations with North Macedonia and Albania.

The Deputy Prime Minister responsible for economic affairs and coordination with the economic sectors, Koco Angjusev, pointed out the possibilities for more efficient implementation of economic diplomacy by the honorary consuls in the area of industry and foreign investments, within the framework of the two-day conference of honorary consuls of the Republic of North Macedonia accredited abroad.

Honorary consuls through their economic diplomacy can help in attracting credible investors in renewable energy sources, photovoltaics, a gas distribution network, a large buyout center for agricultural products, as well as companies employing high-tech staff for the youth to remain in the country and for exporting finished products.

First suspect in “Racket” case, Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13, today was again taken to the “September 8” City Hospital. Due to his deteriorated health condition, his defence had previously submitted medical documentation with the intention of his detention to be terminated.

This is not the first time for Boki 13 to end up in the hospital. The last time he ended up in the same hospital was when he was giving a statement in the Prosecutor’s Office, where he began to vomit and complained of stomach pain.

OPINION

Merkel for a prime minister

The most successful politician and, in general, the most successful European, and not just European, politician in the past decade, German Chancellor, German Prime Minister Angela Merkel, packed her bag, put on her shoes, threw a cloak over her, took a deep breath and slammed the door of her cabinet in Berlin. She left for Paris, to again work off for us, the incompetent.

Instead of relaxing from the decades of stress and ordeals, before the end of her extraordinary career, the most influential European lady without any complex dashed to kneel before egotistical Macron who is aspiring to take the lead in the EU. For her to be begging him not to be nagging us the Balkans anymore, but like all the others from the company, for him to raise his hand for our European start.

Instead of us, it is her, the German Chancellor, who is walking our path for us. After a decade and a half in place, for her to push this incompetent Balkan corner. And all of us in it too. From first to last. The country and every one in it, who have been allowing for three whole decades for our inexperienced, greedy and criminogenic political exponents to be corrupting and ruling us, robbing us, impoverishing and ravaging us and evicting and displacing us….
