North Macedonia and Greece will sign the agreement over the natural gas interconnection between the two countries on Friday, MIA reports from Athens.
Prime Minister Zoran Zaev is taking part at “The Economist” conference in Athens, accompanied by Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi, who will sign the agreement with Greece’s Minister of Environment and Energy Kostas Skrekas.
Greek Government Spokesperson Aristotelia Peloni told today’s press briefing that countries’ PMs Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Zoran Zaev are not scheduled to meet at the sidelines of the conference, while adding that Athens supports the economic development and regional stability also through bilateral agreements.
“Greece has continually promoted the EU integration of our Western Balkans neighbors under the set criteria, and has supported the economic development and regional stability also through bilateral agreements,” said Peloni.
