Corruption affects the social, political and economic development of entire nations. Both developed and underdeveloped countries are vulnerable to corruption, and it is greatest, where democratic values are weak.
This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Fight against Corruption and Crime, Sustainable Development and Human Resources Ljupco Nikolovski on his Facebook profile today on the occasion of December 9 – International Anti-Corruption Day.
“International Anti-Corruption Day is a day when governments, businesses, civil society organizations and society as a whole need to reaffirm their commitment to work together to end the devastating impact of corruption on people’s lives,” Nikolovski wrote.
Deputy Prime Minister Nikolovski stressed that corruption is a threat to the functioning of the system, the rule of law, the budget, economic development and most importantly, the living standards of citizens in every country.
– Let’s put an end to corruption! Let’s create a better tomorrow for all of us. Let’s take off the veil of secrecy and shed light on criminal activities! Only then will there be justice!
