At the invitation of Serbian Minister of Agriculture and Deputy PM Branislav Nedimović, North Macedonia’s Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, Ljupcho Nikolovski, visited on Thursday the third International Fair of Fruit, Vegetables and Viticulture – Agro Belgrade 2022.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, Agro Belgrade is a good opportunity for participating countries, including Macedonian companies, to present their products to the general public in an authentic way and make new contacts to increase exports and conquer new markets. In his address at the opening event, Minister Nikolovski highlighted the benefits of the ‘Open Balkan’ initiative and the participation in such events as the Agro Belgrade Fair.
Nikolovski stressed that North Macedonia is an agricultural country, where the share of agriculture in GDP is over 20 percent, and this is where most people are engaged, the Agriculture Ministry said in a press release. Events such as the Agro Belgrade Fair and the ‘Open Balkan’ initiative will contribute to successful exchange of experience, practice and knowledge between the countries in the region and all other countries, thus enabling more intensive and increased economic and trade cooperation in the region,” said Nikolovski.
The Macedonian stand at the Agro Belgrade Fair hosts nine companies from several sectors, with the financial support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy.
