Mahmut: There is no law regulating the equitable and adequate representation of Roma

Tefik Mahmut, a civil activist, at the CIVIL debate “At the ‘ball'” on Roma human rights, in his short speech said:

“There is no law that regulates the equitable and adequate representation of Roma. A distinction should be made between these two terms. We may have partial adequate representation but we do not have equitable representation. I would focus on two segments: we do not have any Roma employed in the Ministry of Culture, and we do not have Roma who are incorporated into the higher ranks of government.”
