Health Minister Venko Filipche said Sunday that the government is set to discuss recommendations submitted by the Commission for Infectious Diseases to ban live performances in all restaurants, to keep music volume low and to reduce the number of people allowed to sit at one table.
“We consider that these measures are absolutely justified and they come at the right moment when they need to be implemented. We are closely following the situation and if necessary, we have a plan to introduce additional restrictions,” Filipche told Kanal 5 TV.
“There is an increase in the number of cases in all age groups over 20, there is no increase in the number of cases in age groups from 10 to 20 and under 10 years. The number of cases is highest in the 20-30 years age group and slightly lower in the 50-60 years age group,” Filipche said.
Filipche said that one of the possible measures is restriction of the operation of economic entities, the number of people in public transport and wearing face masks outdoors.
