Goran Ivanov has been appointed acting director of the Financial Police, government sources told MIA. Ivanov is replacing the former director Arafat Muaremi, who resigned amid mutual accusations with prosecutor Vilma Ruskovska regarding a search done at the Financial Police, transmits MIA.
After Muaremi filed a complaint against her, Ruskovska was suspended from her post as head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption while proceedings are ongoing.
She appealed the suspension, however, and the Council of Public Prosecutors will be deciding her appeal tomorrow.
